I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and Gloria was born and raised in Esteli, Nicaragua. I moved to the Los Angeles area in 1985 while Gloria arrived in Los Angeles in 1984. In 1999, Gloria and I were living in the same apartment complex and were introduced to each other by our apartment manager. After a few months of dating, and while on vacation at Niagara Falls, Canada, I asked Gloria to marry me. We were married on the Hawaiian island of Maui on March 12, 2000 and now make our home in Simi Valley, California.
